The game can be played across platforms and is available on PC, iOS, Android or Mac. Combine your clues and shout out instructions in order to escape before the time runs out. Your primary objective is to escape, but first you need to get past the world’s cryptic puzzles. Set in a world of Scandinavian folk lore and fairytale, you are thrown into the world of clockmaker Amalie Ravn. With different objects and messages appearing on either player’s screen, players will need to talk out loud to piece together all the clues of this game’s dark mysteries. The game puts emphasis on communication between two players above all else, originally inspired by the escape rooms so popular amongst groups of friends and office Christmas parties. Tick Tock: A Tale for Two takes us in a slightly different direction. The best elements of co-op games usually thrive on this sort of chaotic gameplay, where you are forced to talk to your co-players, even if you don’t want to. Just look at Overcooked, the co-op cooking game that will have you arguing with your friends within minutes, steadily ascending from urgent requests to yelled demands. Tick Tock had the kind of things that only happen when the business owners are in town to give their passion.Co-op games have become notorious for putting their players in stressful situations. I haven't tried the other places in town, but some are franchises that I have visited in other cities. For this one, they are playing with their tech skills again. Don't be too proud to spend your free clues.įinally we tried their upcoming room, yet to be opened. They do a good job creating an immersive story here as well. For just the 2 of us, it was very difficult, but everything was completely fair. It does have more of the traditional padlocks, but still plays with some interesting tech. 'Beasley' they are calling a more traditional escape room. We also had a chance to do Beasley's Millions, and a preview visit of their upcoming room. From talking with the owners afterward, we can tell how many little details they have thought about to make players have a great time. This room actually had moments that paralyzed me with laughter, and other moments where I was actually afraid to proceed (for a moment). The hidden tech in the room is fantastic, with automated lighting, sound, and set interactions. I recommend 4-6 players, but if you go over that, they actually have an entire duplicate room set up, so that you can race each other! I have never seen that before. This is so far beyond the typical room full of combination padlocks. The puzzles are fun, but more importantly, the ways to input your answers are completely ground breaking. ![]() The Pyramid Paradox was amazing! If you are an enthusiast, this is the must see in the area! The scenery build is extremely high quality, immersive, and has a super clean disney-fied feel. We were lucky that our business travel had us staying so close. My wife and I celebrated our 100th escape here, and I can say with confidence, that Tick Tock is worth a pilgrimage to visit. ![]() We will definitely go back and try another room. There were puzzle pieces hidden, locks to undo both combo and keypad, special hidden codes, entry into a Hidden room, things to look up in books and on charts, radios that played Hints and telephone calls. There were lots of different unique set up’s in the room. Everything at Tick Tock was on time and they took our picture at the end. One of the other places we went to had not set up the room properly and so we had a couple of issues with figuring things out. We’ve been to two other escape rooms downtown, which weren’t bad, but this one was definitely better. This place is set up very well and is very clean. How fun is that? At one point a message even popped up that said “listen to your mom”. So, of course the whole family started dancing and we got more time added. Up popped a message that said “dance and will give you more time”. ![]() We had a couple minutes left and were getting stressed out. The people there are super nice and very fun. We had first scheduled the pyramid room and they allowed us to change to Beasley’s. We had no trouble booking our family of six for Beasley’s Billions.
